ABOUT ME

Designer.
Illustrator.
Storyteller.

Kristina Paggioli is a graphic designer, illustrator, UX and interactive designer recently graduated from Drexel University. She’s passionate about making concise, communicative designs with a
hand-made touch. Kristina has been creating art the majority of her
life, focusing on fine art before discovering graphic design in high school. Before Drexel, Kristina attended Manchester Community College and earned an Associates degree in graphic design.

In her free time, Kristina enjoys creating personal illustration work
and character design, writing, listening to music and creating playlists. Besides that, She still drives her old, slightly beat-up Volvo that nobody thought would still be running, plays DnD, drinks lots of tea, and spends time exploring nature.

My Process

Like many people in the visual arts, I’ve been drawing practically forever. One of the most influential pieces of guidance I’ve ever received on this journey is from my kindergarten art teacher; “There are no mistakes in art.” A simple phrase, but it’s an important reminder that a perceived “mistake” isn’t the end of a design solution. Further process and experimentation may be key, or it can solve a problem differently and better as long as I keep an open mind.

When it comes to visual fields, it’s very easy to take a no-nonsense, highly critical approach, and that’s certainly warranted at times. However, I think it’s also important to never discount a solution, nor take myself too seriously. Why not have a little bit of fun with my work? Balancing the lightness and memorability that comes with not taking oneself too seriously while also remaining dedicated, professional, and paying attention to detail is an important trait I try to embody.
